Morgan & Angel Associates - our consulting firm - Morgan, Angel and Associates provides complete research, consultation, and training services to unrecognized American Indian tribes that have petitioned or wish to petition the Bureau of Indian Affairs [BIA] for Federal Acknowledgment
HIGHEST: Department of the Interior - 1934 Wheeler-Harris Act aka The Indian Reorganization Act or CONGRESSIONAL RECOGNITION by CHARTER... YET TO BE ACHIEVED...
Other Levels of Federal Recognition:
Internal Revenue Service - Amonsoquath Tribe employer ID Number 43-1659846
Missouri State Recognition - Even though the State of Missouri recognizes another indian tribe, it is still illegal in the State of Missouri for Indians to own property in the State without the State's permission.... IT IS STILL TECHNICALLY ILLEGAL FOR "INDIANS" TO LIVE IN MISSOURI... OUR ANCESTORS HID HERE AND POSED AS WHITES IN THIS STATE FROM THE 1830'S UNTIL THE EARLY 1900S WHEN THE LAW WAS DROPPED BUT NEVER REPEALED...
We are not interested in State Recognition, as our sovereignty predates that of "The State of Missouri", Inc. It would be more germaine to ask if we recognize Missouri as a state!
We are incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation as the "Amonsoquath Tribe", so we apparently have the State of Missouri's "permission."
