I finished the third grade in the spring of 1930. I will back tract a little to say my brother Robert Lindberg Mashburn was born at Bell Memorial Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas on August 17th 1927. I had lost a baby brother in 1925, he was a premature 6 months baby, Daddy tried to feed him with an eyedropper,he couldn't swallow, he was well formed, but too little. He was named Eugene.

My brother born in 1927 was ok and lived to the age of 39 years and 3 day's, he died of liver cancer, August 20 1966. I am the oldest child of the family. I was 6 years 9 months older than my brother Bob. I will tell of two sisters as we go

In May of 1930 we left Kansas City and moved to Seymour out in the country. Grandma moved to Springfield On AUGUST August 11 1930 my sister Beverly Jean Mashburn was born in SPRINGFIELD. I am 9 years and 9 months lacking 6 days older than she is. She is still living. Late August of 1931 we moved to Springfield.

I finished all my schooling in Springfield. In 1932 on September 11. I accepted Christ and was baptized that night. I have always considered that the important day in my life. I have had many important days for various reasons. That day has been my main focus on life. I am very proud of my Indian Blood, I always have been.

On June 13 1935 my sister Agnes Louise Mashburn was born I am 14 years and 8 months, lacking 4 days older than she, she is still living.
